Jill Johnson Earns CITP Credential

Lumsden & McCormick, LLP is pleased to announce that the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) has awarded Jill M. Johnson the coveted Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential.
The CITP Credential is a specialty designation that identifies CPAs with the unique ability to bridge between business and technology while meeting the strict requirements for a CPA license as well as additional training and experience in IT Assurance, Risk, Security and Privacy, Analytics and Technology.
Jill is an expert working with health care and human service organizations including hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, mental health service providers, and medical practices; nonprofit organizations; and government funded entities. Jill is integral to our Health Care and Nonprofit services groups managing our larger hospital and human service organization clients. She is past President of the WNY Chapter of the Health Care Financial Management Association (HFMA) and serves on several committees. She earned and maintains the HFMA credentials as a Fellow (FHFMA) and is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).
Jill is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), NYSSCPA Health Care Committee, NYSSCPA Technology Assurance Committee; and member of Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA). She is Board Member with Lord of Life Adult and Child Services, LeadingAge New York, Past Treasurer of the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of NYS Women, Inc., and Past Treasurer of NYS Women, Inc. District VIII. Buffalo Business First recognized Jill in 2011 as a 40 Under 40 honoree. She has been with Lumsden McCormick since 2002 and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
The AICPA represents the CPA profession nationally regarding rule-making and standard-setting, and serves as an advocate before legislative bodies, public interest groups and other professional organizations. The AICPA develops standards for audits of private companies and other services by CPAs; provides educational guidance materials to its members; develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination; and monitors and enforces compliance with the profession’s technical and ethical standards.
The AICPA’s founding established accountancy as a profession distinguished by rigorous educational requirements, high professional standards, a strict code of professional ethics, a licensing status and a commitment to serving the public interest.
