Mary Young Earns CIA Designation

Lumsden McCormick is pleased to announce Mary F. Young, CPA, CIA has successfully earned the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation. The CIA credential is earned through a three part series examination and is accredited through the Institute of Internal Auditors. The designation is the only globally accepted designation for internal auditors and the standard for auditing professionals.
Mary has experience working with governmental entities including school districts, industrial development agencies and municipalities in the areas of auditing, Single Audits, taxation, information returns and financial reporting. She currently conducts the audit fieldwork for our larger school districts and maintains the continuing professional education requirements of Governmental Auditing Standards. Mary is also experienced with and provides services to many of our nonprofit clients. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), the NYSSCPA Public Schools Committee, the Association of School Business Officials, the Western Chapter of the Government Finance Officers' Association, and is active in the New York State Association of Counties.
