Lumsden McCormick's Making A Difference (MAD) Committee joined Grassroots Gardens and other community members at BPS 31. MAD volunteers cleaned up a vacant lot across from the school and helped build raised flower beds, which the students and community will tend. 

Lumsden McCormick established the Making A Difference (MAD) Committee in 2012. An employee–driven initiative, MAD provides opportunities for our professionals to volunteer at and donate to local organizations requesting assistance.
