Lumsden & McCormick, LLP is pleased to announce that the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) awarded Jill M. Johnson, CPA, the globally preferred Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential.

In order to become a CFE, Johnson met the stringent set of criteria and passed a rigorous exam along with meeting the ACFE’s character, experience and education requirements, and has demonstrated knowledge in the areas of Fraudulent Financial Transactions, Fraud Prevention and Deterrence, Legal Elements of Fraud, and Fraud Investigation. Jill is an expert working with health care and human service organizations including hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, mental health service providers, and medical practices; nonprofit organizations; and government funded entities.

Jill is integral to our Health Care and Nonprofit services groups managing our larger hospital and human service organization clients. She is past President of the WNY Chapter of the Health Care Financial Management Association (HFMA) and continues serve as a member of the Board of Directors and is active in several committees. She earned and maintains the HFMA credentials as a Fellow (FHFMA) and is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).

Jill is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), NYSSCPA Health Care Committee, LeadingAge New York, Past Treasurer of the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of NYS Women, Inc., Past Treasurer of NYS Women, Inc. District VIII and former board member of the Road Less Traveled Productions. Buffalo Business First recognized Jill in 2011 as a 40 Under 40 honoree. She has been with Lumsden McCormick since 2002 and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
