Lumsden McCormick is pleased to announce that Dominic Baranyi, Peter DiNunzio, Zacherie Geary, Kelsey Kuppinger, Megan Morris, and Jenna Torella successfully completed the requirements to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) fulfilling the license eligibility requirement and passing all four parts of the Uniform Certified Public Accounting exam.
Dominic Baranyi is a May 2014 graduate from the University at Buffalo earning both a Master’s of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting. During his studies, Dominic gained work experience through a tax internship at a local accounting firm and as an associate researcher at the University at Buffalo Campus Labs. Dominic is very active in youth baseball and hockey as a referee, umpire, and team manager.
Peter DiNunzio will be using his business experience of more than 10 years as he conducts field work for commercial business and exempt organizations. Peter worked for more than 10 years at Pizzeria Uno in New Jersey serving as general manager prior to completing his studies and earning a Master of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He earned the Quest to be the Best award and was nominated General Manager of the Year by Pizzeria Uno.
Zacherie Geary is aCanisius College graduate with a Master’s of Science in Fraud and Forensic Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Virginia University. Zach will work alongside our audit team to serve the accounting needs of our clients. While at Canisius, Zach participated in club lacrosse and varsity golf. His work experience includes working as a computer technician and as a lifeguard.
Kelsey Kuppinger joined our tax department in 2014 and assists our team to serve personal clients and commercial businesses. She is a December 2013 graduate from Niagara University earning a dual Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration in Accounting. During her studies she participated in Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and interned with two local CPA firms and gained customer service experience while working at a national chain restaurant.
Megan Morris joined us with a 2014 Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Robert E. Cook Honors College. Megan has prior experience working as a private accounting tutor and led the Student Accounting Association as president and secretary. Megan volunteered with Relay for Life as team captain, was a student representative in the Robert E. Cook Honors College, and was a member of the Eberly College of Business Strategic Planning Committee. She is a volunteer with Buffalo Slow Roll.
Jenna Torella is a St. Bonaventure University graduate receiving a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration. In addition to her studies, Jenna was engaged as an accounts payable intern at Northtown Automotive Companies and worked on campus as intramural staff president and graduate assistant. Jenna managed to fit volunteering into her day participating in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and as a peer mentor.
