2016 Standard Mileage Rates Released

Beginning on Jan. 1, 2016, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (also vans, pickups or panel trucks) will be:

• 54 cents per mile for business miles driven, down from 57.5 cents for 2015

• 19 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes, down from 23 cents for 2015

• 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations

Matt joined the firm in July 2011 as a staff accountant in the auditing and accounting department. He was promoted to senior accountant in January 2013. Matt obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Accounting Information Systems in 2010 from Canisius College and his Master's of Science degree in Forensic Accounting in 2011. Matt spent several years as a tax intern at Meritain Health prior to joining Lumsden McCormick. He serves commercial businesses including numerous contractors and also exempt organizations including numerous governmental entities. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
