Hopkins and Young to Become Elected Officials of Working For Downtown

On June 11, 2015 Sarah Hopkins, CPA and Mary Young, CPA will be sworn in as elected officals for the Working for Downtown 2015-2016 year.  Working for Downtown promotes and improves the quality of life in Downtown Buffalo by fostering an interest in civic and downtown development.

Sarah Hopkins is a principal in the Firm's audit department. She has extensive expertise working with tax-exempt organizations in the areas of auditing, Single Audits, taxation, grant compliance and financial reporting. Sarah currently oversees the audit fieldwork for several public and private foundations, private educational institutions, charter schools and public charities. She is an active member of the not-for profit committee of the Buffalo Chapter of the NYSSCPA, currently serving as Chair.

 

 

 

Mary Young is a manager in the Firm's audit department. Mary has experience working with governmental entities including school districts, industrial development agencies and municipalities in the areas of auditing, Single Audits, taxation, information returns and financial reporting. She is the former treasurer and current Vice President of Working For Downtown and is a member of the State University of New York at Buffalo’s Center for the Arts Advisory Council. In 2014 Mary was elected Treasurer of the Graycliff Conservancy.
